THE BASIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AIMS TO:
- Imbibe among members of the community the values of simplicity, truth, justice, peace and integrity of creation.
- Develop the moral, intellectual, social and emotional faculties of Learners through a balanced, integrated and dynamic curriculum.
- Actively involve one and all in building God’s kingdom inspired by the charism of St. Francis of Assisi through participation in the life of the church and society.
- Acquire creative and critical thinking as well as responsible leadership among Learners.
These manifold aims are ultimately focused on the formation of the total person nurtured by faith in God, grounded in the Christian values, conscious of ones capabilities and potentials and aware of and moved by one’s responsibilities to fellow humans in the community, the nation and the world at large.
To sufficiently prepare the Kindergarten Learner for formal schooling by effectively promoting physical, social, emotional and skill stimulation and values formation. (Kindergarten Education Act, Sec. 2)
