All individuals have their goals in life. A goal of achieving dreams, becoming a successful individual, and getting the aimed degree.

Last November 22, 2016, the St. Joseph’s School of Mactan launched their annual Career Week Celebration with the theme “Fostering Entrepreneurship Through Talent Innovation and Technology”. Its main goal was to nourish the skills and talents of the students, and guide them towards their desired professions as they were distinguished according to their worn attire.

The launching started with a Holy Mass in the morning followed by the interschool competitions such as basketball, volleyball and table tennis in the afternoon hosted by SJSM. SJSM teams successfully nailed the said competitions. In fact, 2 of the aforesaid teams won as the champion with Jon Angelo Gepiga of Grade 6- St. John and Mhel Gibs Olores of Grade 10- St. Hyacinth as the Most Valuable Players with Sir Mark Vincent Guinitaran as a coach.

Other than the interschool competitions, the school prepared various activities also to hone the skills of the student and to discover their assumptive tracks and courses in the future. Such activities were cooking, poster making, logo making, essay writing, and photography competitions which were held on separate days. And to support these, different seminars from different speakers were provided to the students especially to Grades 9 and 10.

The week long activity ended with a culminating program with a mind full of knowledge and enriched career successfully done by the office of the SDC  with the help of PFC members.
